Tender launched for the Tokamak Hall: a key infrastructure for the future of fusion energy
DTT has published an open call for the integrated contract concerning the executive design and construction of the Tokamak Hall and auxiliary buildings of the facility.
The main building will have a square footprint of approximately 35 metres per side and an internal height of over 26 metres. It will be constructed with 2.2-metre-thick reinforced concrete walls, ensuring the highest standards of safety and structural stability.
The total above-ground volume will reach about 39 metres per side and 29 metres in height, and the building will host a 100-tonne overhead crane for handling heavy and sensitive components.
Completion is currently scheduled for 2029.
The total contract value amounts to € 76,477,341.87, including € 1,688,491.94 for non-negotiable safety costs.
