DTT site

DTT is located in the ENEA-Research Center site in Frascati, where the Frascati Tokamaks (FT and FTU) successfully operated.

The Frascati site, located in the outskirt of Rome, is one of the largest research areas in Europe, where the labs of ENEA and other research institutions, namely those of the European Space Agency, the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN), the National Research Center (CNR), the National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF), and the campus of the University of Tor Vergata are located.

The design of the constructions hosting DTT was carried out with the utmost attention to environmental aspects.

In any case, the planning of the construction of new buildings includes a previous phase of evaluation of the building land, in compliance with all the regulatory and legislative recommendations currently in force.

The buildings, all inserted within the perimeter of the ENEA-Research Center in Frascati, recover a large part of the existing constructions, updating their characteristics to new needs; the new buildings are designed according to criteria of essentiality, economy and careful respect for the environment.

The project, approved by the competent central and regional authorities, is illustrated in the following images.
