Tender for In-Vessel Coil Power Supply Systems published by ENEA

The tender for the procurement of the In-Vessel Coil Power Supply Systems of the Divertor Tokamak Test Facility has been published.

The procurement includes three lots:

  1. Procurement of the Power Supply System for the Vertical and Radial Stabilization In-Vessel Coils.
  2. Procurement of the Power Supply System for the Divertor In-Vessel Coils
  3. Procurement of the Power Supply System for the Non-Axisymmetric In-Vessel Coils.

The Vertical and Radial Stabilization In-Vessel Coils are schematically shown in Fig. 1; their main aims are the plasma vertical stabilization and the configuration control.

The Divertor In-Vessel Coils (fig. 2) missions are the control of the X point, the divergence of the magnetic field lines on the divertor targets and the strike-point sweeping.

Finally, the Non-Axisymmetric In-Vessel Coils, divided in three 9-coils clusters (see Fig. 3), are designed to counteract the Error Fields and to control the ELM plasma instabilities.

The total estimated amount is 15,000,000 €. The tender is part of the proposal for "Rafforzamento e creazione di Infrastrutture di Ricerca" financed to ENEA by the “National Resilience Recovery Plan (PNRR)”.

The deadline for receiving offers is the next 23 January 2024. Full information at link.
