Technical Coordination Meeting #47 in Naples

From December 4th to 6th, 2024, Naples hosted the 47th Technical Coordination Meeting of the Divertor Tokamak Test (DTT) facility (TCM-47). This event was jointly organized with the end-of-year meeting on the 2024 design activities of the divertor and related components of the DTT facility in the Eurofusion context (WPDIV-IDTT EYM2024). Approximately 80 participants, including project team members from various institutions, gathered at the beautiful location provided by the CREATE consortium and the DIETI department of the University of Federico II. The meeting was held in person and virtually, allowing for robust discussions and collaboration among all stakeholders.

The event featured 13 sessions with over 50 presentations covering a wide range of topics, from project management to technical details. A key focus was the status of upcoming tenders for the DTT project, a crucial step in its development.

On December 4th, participants had the opportunity to visit the DTT Remote Handling Training Facility (REMHAT), currently under construction by ENEA at the University of Naples. Led by Professor Giuseppe Di Gironimo, attendees experienced a virtual tour of the facility using augmented reality technology.

The next TCM-48 is scheduled for mid-June 2025 and will be hosted by DTT/ENEA in Frascati.
