Sergio Segre passed away

Yesterday, March 8, 2023, Sergio Segre passed away.

Sergio Segre, CNRN researcher (currently ENEA) and subsequently full professor of Plasma Physics at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata", gave an important contribution to Plasma Science and Technologies for Controlled Fusion. Particularly significant are his theoretical and experimental studies on waves in plasmas, diagnostics for measurements in Tokamaks and high-field devices.

Sergio Segre is also remembered for his human qualities, always gentle, generous and helpful.

He leaves many friends and students in the scientific and academic worlds and, in particular, at the ENEA laboratories in Frascati.
