Procurement of the DTT power supplies for vertical stability and divertor control

DTT is equipped with two sets of coils for a) the control of the vertical stability of the plasma and b) the fine tuning of the magnetic configuration in the divertor region. The contracts for the procurement of the Power Supply Systems for the DTT Vertical Stabilization and Divertor Coils have both been awarded to OCEM Power Electronics (Bologna, Italy) on 8 May 2024, followed by the Kick-off Meeting on 14 May 2024. The procurement is financed by the PNRR grant awarded to ENEA for the DTT-Upgrade project.
For many decades, OCEM has been a pioneering force in power electronics for research infrastructures. OCEM power systems are found in leading nuclear fusion facilities as ITER, JT-60SA and FTU.
The delivery of the two power supply systems is expected by the end of 2025.
