Meeting at the Order of Engineers: renewal of the agreement with DTT

The agreement between DTT S.C. a r.l. and the Order of Engineers of the Province of Rome (OIR) has recently been renewed.

To discuss possible topics of common interest, a technical seminar was held on Thursday 8 June 2023 at the Order's Rome headquarters on "The DTT - Divertor Tokamak Test facility project". Over one hundred OIR members took part in the meeting, testifying to the interest in common actions on DTT.

During the meeting, the Heads of the DTT Technical Functions and the Area Referents/Presidents of the Commission of the OIR illustrated the activities in progress.

The meeting was opened by Ing. Massimo Cerri, President of the OIR, Eng. Alessandro Dodaro, representing the President of ENEA, Eng. Gilberto Dialuce and the Director General Eng. Giogio Graditi and Prof. Romanelli, President of DTT.

At the end of the meeting, Eng. Gian Mario Polli, DTT Contact Person for the agreement, commented: "In today's meeting, the Order of Engineers showed the vastness of the topics, similar to those of interest to DTT, which are dealt with within its commissions. The agreement between DTT and OIR will allow for in-depth studies or dissemination days on issues of common interest and, moreover, constitutes a tool with which the DTT project will be able to increase the relationship with the industrial reality of the territory of which the Order is a fundamental representative.”

On the other side, Eng. Alessandra Di Pietro, Contact Person for the Order, commented: "Collaboration in this important research project, included in the road map for the future construction of fusion plants for the production of energy with low environmental impact, could be a great stimulus for the growth of mutual skills and useful for its design development and its implementation. It will also be a precious opportunity to promote synergistic actions between the world of scientific research and that of Engineering".
