DTT magnets: construction in progress.

Due to the complexity of the project and of the applied technologies, the construction of DTT magnets is a demanding challenge that places DTT on the frontier of research in fusion.

The three companies (KAT, LUWATA Waterbury Inc. and Furukawa Electric) responsible for providing the strands necessary for the manufacture of the cables are continuing their critical activity; presently, the deliveries have already reached 35% of the total.

The activity of ICAS, called to carry out the superconducting cables, started in September; the first deliveries are expected as early as 2022.

At the same time, the activity of ASG, responsible for the construction of the toroidal coils, also began. The supply will be completed in 2025.
