DTT construction keeps moving forward
Following the launch of the structural works in January at the DTT site in ENEA Frascati Research Centre , the construction activities related to the development of the Divertor Tokamak Test project infrastructure are continuing without interruption.
Under a new contract, preparatory works have begun for the construction of the new Building 173, which will house the Gyrotrons — key components of the Electron Cyclotron Resonance Heating (ECRH) system: the electromagnetic wave generators designed to heat the plasma of the Italian experimental reactor DTT.
The launch of this new operational phase confirms the continuity of infrastructure and technology activities at the ENEA Research Centre in Frascati, along the development path of the DTT project.
