The first phase of the collaboration with the Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique et aux énergies alternatives (CEA) for the preliminary design of the DTT cryogenic plant was recently concluded.

The CEA operational structure selected to carry out the cooperation is the lnstitut de recherche interdisciplinaire de Grenoble - Département des Systèmes Basses Températures (CEA-IRIG-DSBT).

The agreement, stipulated at the end of last year, is aimed at defining the technical and functional specifications of the DTT cryogenic plant, to be used as a basis for subsequent dialogue with the manufacturing companies.

The activity started with the KOM held in Frascati at the beginning of the year. The first phase (DL-01) involved the definition of the "Template for the functional Technical Specification".

The second phase (DL-02) aimed at the "Cryogenic architecture and preliminary conceptual design of the cryogenic system" is currently underway.
