A significant milestone has been reached for the DTT (Divertor Tokamak Test) project with the completion of the Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for the NAS (Non-AxiSymmetric In-Vessel Coils), which consists of 27 power supplies manufactured by EEI S.p.A. – Equipaggiamenti Elettronici Industriali.

The tests, which began in July with full-system power tests, has been concluded this week. This phase has verified the functionality and reliability of the equipment and supports the ongoing progress of the DTT project.

Delivery of the equipment to the Frascati site is scheduled for the end of October. Its installation will help complete the research infrastructure needed for the study of nuclear fusion as a clean and safe energy source.
