Today 24 October 2024, a new call for tender for the supply of 18,400 kg of Nb₃Sn strand with chromium coating and of 6.250 kg of Copper wires with chromium coating for the manufacture of CS and PF1 conductors has been published.

The procurement of these strands is necessary for the fabrication of the cable in conduit conductors of the central solenoid and of the poloidal field coil 1, whose procurement is also about to be launched.

The total duration of the contract for the two lots will be, at most, 140 weeks from the Kick-off Meeting (KoM).

The bidders will have time up to 05/12/2024 23:59 (CET) to present their offers.

The deadline for the request of clarifications is 25/11/2024 12:00 (CET).
